Flow

To create my Flow pieces, I draw on core principles that govern how glass behaves when subjected to heat and gravity in a kiln. The challenge is to harness the flow of various glasses coming together from opposing directions as they soften using ramps and containment dams to guide and contain the movement. After multiple operations in the kiln to fuse and shape the finished forms, I use grinding, polishing and sandblasting tools to refine the surfaces and edges.
